About R.A. Roberts

Rebecca’s eclectic teaching career guided her on a journey to become an International English and History teacher in the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Within her own homeland, Rebecca felt privileged to teach in remote Australia, as well as the public and private secondary school systems in Perth, Western Australia. She also embraced her role of an Education University Supervisor for a variety of tertiary institutions.

Reflecting on her teaching years, Rebecca’s greatest tools were her bandwagon of travelling tales. She fosters a deep reverence for her colleagues, an abiding affection for her students and a stalwart compassion for the role of a teacher – the strengths; the shortcomings; the wins; the losses.

Apart from her various teaching stints, Rebecca also enjoyed brief, yet much-treasured, forays living in Italy and France. She proudly owned a small medieval home and former bakery/boulangerie in France’s Aveyron region in a bastide town called Villefranche de Rouergue – a pit stop on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail.

Rebecca is spiritual in nature with a love for mother earth and a devotion for cultivating beauty in every corner of her home, garden and life. She is married to her twin flame, Nikola, and lives in Perth with their little shih-tzu, George Elliot Noel (Georgie).

Heal the Storyteller is a loving testament to all souls who have been part of Rebecca’s meandering journey as a traveller, a teacher, and the kin of many.

She is profoundly grateful.
